1. Acceptance

By using PanicButton you accept these terms. If you disagree with any point, do not use the app.

2. What PanicButton is

A community tool to send silent alerts to a group of people you choose (family, friends, coworkers or neighbors). PanicButton is NOT a professional emergency service and does NOT replace 911, firefighters, police or ambulance. In a real emergency, call your country's emergency number.

3. Responsible use

• Do not use the app for false or prank alerts.
• Do not use it to harass, defame or surveil other people.
• Do not share illegal, violent or discriminatory content.
• Only add people you know and who have consented to your groups.
• You are responsible for the content you send and the messages attached to your alerts.

4. Account

You are responsible for your password and access to your account. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Danger zone.

5. Availability and limitations

The app depends on third-party services (Supabase, Google FCM, Apple APNs) and your internet connection. We do not guarantee instant delivery or 100% availability. Notification delivery may be delayed or fail for reasons beyond our control (no signal, airplane mode, OS restrictions, etc.).

6. No warranties

PanicButton is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we make no express or implied warranties about performance, availability or fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for damages arising from the use or inability to use the app.

7. Changes

We may update these terms to reflect changes in the app or the law. We will notify inside the app when there are significant changes.
